MCR S6 Round 7 At Algarve
By TJ Yankee · April 27, 2026

The Penultimate round of season 6 for the Motor City Racing League's split 2 IMSA league was a wild one at Algarve International Circuit. Multiple lap 1 turn 1 incidents, including LMP2 Points leader Trent Blalock caused chaos to start the race. The 15 corner rollercoaster of a track claimed a number of self spins. Oum Prajapati took a late lead in the GTP class, with Corey Sirtoff coming in second. A late mechanical failure from Trent Blalock in the LMP2 class gave Christopher Santiago his first win of the season. Kevin McLaughlin's GTD Pro dominance continued with another win. A late battle between Jose Droz and Caden Webb added some fireworks to the closing laps, with Jose Droz coming out with the win in the GTD class. Check out the class podiums below and link to the broadcast. The next race is 2 weeks away at Fuji International for the season 6 Finale.
